Student body mourns death of student

James Ryan Shawver, 19, accounting sophomore, died in a car accident returning from another student's funeral on Aug. 26.

After 15 years of leaking roofs on the IUS campus and requests from Bloomington to the state for Repair and Rehabilitation funding for roof repairs, Hillside Hall, Physical Science and the Activities buildings will have new roofs in place by the end of the year.

More than 50 Democrats and interested supporters gathered at the New Albanian Brewery (formerly Rich-Os) in New Albany on Thursday, Aug. 28th, to watch Senator Barack Obama give his acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention. The event was held in the Prost Room and hosted by the IUS College Democrats.
