Six IUS basketball players suspended

Six IUS basketball players have been suspended following a brawl during the basketball game between IU Southeast and Berea on Feb. 18. According to NAIA bylaws, “Any players who were involved in fighting or left the bench during the incident will serve a one-game suspension.”

Snow cancels, delays school again

IU Southeast was closed Monday, Feb. 15, followed by a two-hour delay on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The closings caused another round of event cancellations, including the Christian Student Fellowship’s free lunch and the Appreciation Luncheon hosted by the Multicultural Student Union.

New class, funding helps IUS veterans

A new class this semester has been created to help student veterans make the transition from the military to civilian life. The six-week class, J151 Career Exploration and Development, provides student veterans with resources and workshops on career development.

SGA amendment voted down

During a brief meeting on Feb. 18, the Student Government Association voted-down an amendment to the groups’ constitution. They also prepared a trip to Kokomo, Ind., for the following morning of Feb. 19. Three SGA members headed to IU Kokomo the morning of Friday, Feb. 19, to attend the years first IU Board of Trustees meeting.

Senior baseball player overcomes life’s obstacles

Public apology too late, Tiger

This past Friday, Feb. 19, Tiger Woods finally came out of hiding to make a public statement regarding his infidelity to his wife. The truth of the matter is, while his apology seemed sincere, he should have done this a long time ago. Not because he owed me or anyone outside of his family an apology, but because he should have just been a man and owned up to his mistakes rather than hiding for months.

College attractions, discounts not great

The Green Tree 10 movie theater has been gone for months now, Kentucky Kingdom is being sold off piece-by-piece and won’t be around this summer. Let us hold a moment of silence in honor of our beloved venues that have passed on.
