Class evaluations deserve respect

Most students fill out evaluations for each of their classes at the end of every semester. These forms, called Student Evaluation of Teaching, are generally 20 to 30 questions long. Most of the questions rate the class instructor along with how well students felt they learned the material.

Police release 2007 crime report

According to the report, there were 36 reported thefts in 2006. That number dropped to 17 reported thefts in 2007.

Alcohol arrests spike

So far, there have been nine alcohol arrests. Three of them involved students on campus. The other six have involved non-students coming to campus and getting arrested because of alcohol.

DJ performs Antarctic show

Paul Miller, aka media artist DJ Spooky, showcased his latest project to about 200 people in attendance Friday, Oct. 3, in the Ogle Center. The performance, “Terra Nova: Sinfonia Antarctica,” mixed electronic music with video footage Miller filmed while he was on the continent.
