Athlete achieves awards

Megan Murphy, psychology senior, was named the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Jan. 23. This is the third time Murphy has received the Player of the Week award this season. Murphy said she feels honored to have received this award.

Student works runway: Part-time model admits fashion obsession

Rebecca Bussey, international business sophomore, models for famous designers in fashion shows and magazines. Bussey has been in five fashion magazines, two of which she was on the front cover and has done commercial and high-fashion modeling. “I like doing runway shows,” Bussey said. “It’s a lot more fun to do than a photo-shoot. It gives you a lot more adrenaline.”

Student veteran crafts sci-fi gem

Michael McInnish, informatics junior, is a 20-year veteran in the process of releasing an e-book. McInnish’s e-book is entitled “Der Ra Buf,” which means gem, found and polished. “It is a science fiction novel about a person who has lived on this planet long before humans came along,” McInnish said.
