School of rock

Jimmy Gaetano of Jimmy’s Music Center at 123 East Market St, New Albany is a musician who toured across the U.S. and Europe before moving to the area to attend Bible school. After graduating, he played in a church band that visited prisons to entertain and reach out to inmates in the area.

He bought Jimmy’s Music Center nine years ago and offers lessons, sells and rents equipment and even does repairs.

“I knew as soon as I got a guitar as a child I wanted to play,” Gaetano said. “We try and make music fun for kids and adults.”
